IN THE FISCAL YEAR WE CONSULTED WITH HOSPITAL EMERGENCY HEALTH CARE PERSONNEL TO ASSIST IDENTIFICATION OF WILD MUSHROOMS AS POSSIBLE CAUSE OF PATIENT POISONING. IN ADDITION, WE LED NINE (9) FORAYS TO COLLECT AND IDENTIFY WILD MUSHROOMS AND NINE (9) EDUCATIONAL LECTURES IN SANTA ROSA ATTENDED BY ABOUT 450 MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC. OUR ORGANIZATION HELD A 3-DAY SOMA WILD MUSHROOM CAMP ON JAN 19-21ST CONSISTING OF 48 EDUCATIONAL LECTURES AND 9 FORAYS, AND EXPERT ANALYSIS AND PHOTOGRAPHY OF ALL WILD MUSHROOMS FOUND. WE ATTENDED THE MYCOLOGICAL SOCIETY OF SAN FRANCISCO'S "WILD MUSHROOM FAIR" IN DECEMBER. WE ALSO HELD SOMA CAMP VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION DAY PICNIC IN JULY. FINALLY, TEN (10) SCHOLARSHIPS RANGING FROM $1500 TO $2500 WERE GIVEN TO PH.D. AND GRADUATE LEVEL STUDENTS IN UNIVERSITY MYCOLOGY DEPARTMENTS IN CALIFORNIA, OREGON, AND WASHINGTON.
