THE ORGANIZATION IS DEDICATED TO PROVIDING CAPITAL AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO ORGANIZATIONS WORKING TO REVITALIZE LOW-INCOME NEIGHBORHOODS AND PROVIDE HOUSING, SERVICES, AND JOBS TO UNDERSERVED PEOPLE THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES.

Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

IN NOVEMBER 2012, NCRF INITIATED ITS ROOFS FOR TROOPS PROGRAM. UNDER THE ROOFS FOR TROOPS PROGRAM, NCRF ACQUIRES, RENOVATES AND SELLS HOMES TO UNITED STATES MILITARY VETERANS AND ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY PERSONNEL AT A DISCOUNT FROM THE MARKET VALUE. IN CONNECTION WITH THE FINANCIAL INSTITUTION AND THE NATIONAL COMMUNITY STABILIZATION TRUST, SOME HOUSES ARE DONATED TO VETERANS. THE ROOFS FOR TROOPS HOMES ARE DONATED TO NCRF FROM FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS.


THE FUND HAS BEEN INVOLVED IN PROVIDING FINANCING TO COMPANIES WHICH CREATE HOUSING AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES IN DISADVANTAGED NEIGHBORHOODS. THE FUND ALSO HAS DEVELOPED AN INVESTMENT VEHICLE FOR QUALIFIED INVESTORS TO INVEST IN PROJECTS THAT WILL CREATE AND ENHANCE BUSINESS AND COMMERCIAL PROJECTS, AFFORDABLE HOUSING, COMMUNITY USE, AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES IN ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED NEIGHBORHOODS IN THE REGION.
