TESTING AND CERTIFICATION IN THE FIELD OF OROFACIAL PAIN: ABOP WAS FOUNDED IN 1994 IN RESPONSE TO A NEED FOR A VALID CERTIFICATION PROCESS FOR DENTISTS PRACTICING OROFACIAL PAIN MANAGEMENT. EXAMINATIONS ARE HELD YEARLY IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE AMERICAN ACADEMY OF OROFACIAL PAIN'S ANNUAL CONFERENCE. IN RESPONSE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, EXAMINATIONS WERE HELD ON-LINE INSTEAD OF IN-PERSON DURING THE FISCAL YEAR. SIMILARLY, ALL MEETINGS WERE HELD ON-LINE AS WELL.
