THE FOUNDATION ACTS AS A CONDUIT THROUGH WHICH THE RESIDENTS OF THE PINOLE AREA CAN CONTRIBUTE TO THE PINOLE SENIOR CENTER MAINTAINING FACILITIES AND SERVICES FOR PINOLE AREA SENIOR CITIZENS. IT IS THE INTENT OF THE ORGANIZATION TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF PINOLE AREA SENIORS AND TO BENEFIT THEIR CHARITABLE AND ENTERTAINMENT NEEDS. THE ORGANIZATION IS COMMITTED TO PROVIDE RESOURCES TO SUPPORT THE OPERATION AND GROWTH OF THE CITY OF PINOLES SENIOR CENTER BY APPLYING FOR GRANTS, SOLICITING DONATIONS, ENDOWMENTS AND SPONSORING OTHER FUND RAISING PROJECTS.THE PRIMARY OBJECTIVES AND PURPOSES ARE:A. TO PROVIDE PROGRAMS FOR THE SUPPORT AND ADVANCEMENT OF THE PINOLE SENIOR CENTER.B. PROVIDE SENIORS THE OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN COMMUNITY SERVICES.C. PROVIDE FUNDS FOR SPECIAL EVENTSD. PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR PINOLE AREA PROGRAMS NOT BEING MET FOR SENIORS.
SUPPORT OF CITY OF PINOLE RAFFLE EVENTS.
RECREATIONAL AND SOCIAL SERVICES ARE PROVIDED TO AREA SENIORS, INCLUDING (BUT NOT LIMITED TO) BINGO GAMES. OUTSIDE TRIPS ARE ALSO ORGANIZED FOR MEMBERS OF THE PINOLE SENIOR CENTER AS WELL AS AN ANNUAL TRI TIP DINNER (THIS EVENT WAS CANCELLED IN 2020 DUE TO COVID LIMITATIONS).
HOMEBOUND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED BY THE ORGANIZATION TO INDIVIDUALS OF THE AREA AT THE PINOLE SENIOR CENTER. TRANSPORTATION SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE TO PERSONS 50 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER IN NEED OF SUPPORT. WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE TRANSPORTATION IS AVAILABLE.A TYPICAL WEEK WILL FIND THE FOUNDATION PROVIDING SERVICES TO AT LEAST TEN AREA INDIVIDUALS. IN ADDITION TO PROVIDING TRANSPORTATION SERVICES TO SENIORS (TO AVAIL THEMSELVES OF ACTIVITIES AT THE SENIOR CENTER) MEALS ARE PROVIDED TO NEEDY INDIVIDUALS. SERVICES ARE PROVIDED EVERY MONDAY AND THURSDAY. AT PRESENT THERE ARE 23 INDIVIDUALS HELPED BY THE PROGRAM.
