THE CALIFORNIA VOTER FOUNDATION WORKED TO IMPROVE THE ELECTION PROCESS BY:DOCUMENTING AND ADDRESSING HARASSMENT OF ELECTION OFFICIALS: IN 2021 CVF PUBLISHED THE FIRST REPORT IN THE NATION EXAMINING THE IMPACT OF THE RISE OF THREATS AND HARASSMENT TARGETING ELECTION OFFICIALS AND THEIR STAFF. CVFS REPORT IDENTIFIED NUMEROUS STEPS THAT COULD BE TAKEN TO SUPPORT ELECTION OFFICIALS AND ELECTION ADMINISTRATION. CREATING THE ELECTION COMMUNITY NETWORK: IN RESPONSE TO THREATS TO ELECTION OFFICIALS, CVF SOUGHT AND RECEIVED FUNDING TO LAUNCH THE ELECTION COMMUNITY NETWORK, COMPRISED OF LEADERS ACROSS VARIOUS SECTORS WORKING TO SUPPORT AND PROTECT ELECTION OFFICIALS AND ELECTION ADMINISTRATION.2021 STATEWIDE RECALL ELECTION: CVF PRODUCED THE CALIFORNIA ONLINE VOTER GUIDE FOR THE SEPTEMBER 14, 2021 GUBERNATORIAL RECALL ELECTION AND CONDUCTED NUMEROUS INTERVIEWS DURING AND AFTER THE ELECTION TO INFORM VOTERS AND RESPOND TO ELECTION MIS- AND DISINFORMATION.
