THE WINDSOR EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION HAS BEEN HONORED TO AWARD MANY SCHOLARSHIPS OVER THE PAST SEVERAL YEARS TO DESERVING SENIORS IN THE WINDSOR UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT WHO CONTINUED THEIR EDUCATION AFTER HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION. THE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM WAS RECENTLY REDESIGNED AS PART OF A MENTORSHIP PROGRAM TIED TO A WHS STUDENT'S SENIOR PROJECT. THE SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE LOOKS FOR STUDENTS WHO HAVE AN EDUCATIONAL GOAL BEYOND HIGH SCHOOL. THIS CAN BE A FOUR YEAR COLLEGE, JUNIOR COLLEGE OR CAREER COLLEGE. THE COMMITTEE ALSO CONSIDERS AS A MAJOR FACTOR IN THE SELECTION PROCESS ANY OBSTACLES OR DIFFICULTIES THAT APPLICANTS HAVE OVERCOME IN THEIR HIGH SCHOOL YEARS OR PRIOR. IN THIS LAST FISCAL YEAR THE WE FOUNDATION PAID TO OUTSTANDING STUDENTS 27 SCHOLARSHIPS RANGING FROM 50 TO 2,500.
