TO PROMOTE UNDERSTANDING AND GOODWILL AMONG PEOPLE THROUGH THE WORLD THROUGH MUSIC, DANCE, PERFORMANCE, ACADEMIC EDUCATION, AND CULTURAL INTERACTION AMONG STUDENT MEMBERS AND THEIR AUDIENCES.

THE YOUNG AMERICANS MUSIC OUTREACH PROGRAMS CONDUCTED PERFORMING ARTS EXPERIENCES IN 200 COMMUNITIES AROUND THE WORLD, THROUGH 12 TOURING COMPANIES AND IMPACTING 55,000 CHILDREN'S LIVES. THESE PROGRAMS BRING A LIVE AND INTERACTIVE PERFORMING ARTS EXPREIENCE INTO HOST SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITIES. THE PROGRAM'S PURPOSE IS TO USE THE CHALLEGE OF LEARNING A SHOW IN JUST A FEW DAYS AS THE CHALLENGE GOAL TO HELP CHILDREN BUILD THEIR SELF-ESTEEM. SUPPORTED BY THE CAST OF YOUNG AMERICANS, WHO SERVE AS PEER LEADERS AND MENTORS, EACH PARTICIPATING STUDENT IS ENCOURAGE AND SUPPORTED TO STEP OUT OF THEIR COMFORT ZONE AND EXPRESS THEMSELVES THROUGH SONG, DANCE, AND PERFORMANCE. BY FYE 2020, THE YOUNG AMERICANS HAD COMPLETED ITS SUMMER DINNER THEATRE IN BOYNE HIGHLANDS, MICHIGAN (SPANNING FROM THE 3RD WEEK IN JUNE TILL THE 3RD WEEK IN AUGUST). ADDITIONALLY, THE YOUNG AMERICANS COMPLETED A THIRD OF ITS OUTREACH TOURS AND CAMPS, TO INCLUDE ITS MAJOR INTERNATIONAL TOUR IN JAPAN. MOREOVER, IT SUCCESSFULLY CONDUCTED ITS ANNUAL CHRISTMAS SHOW PERFORMANCE, "THE MAGIC OF CHRISTMAS" AT LA MIRADA THEATRE (SPANNING FROM DECEMBER 5TH THROUGH 15TH FOR A TOTAL OF 13 INDIVIDUAL SHOWS).
THE YOUNG AMERICANS COLLEGE OF PERFORMING ARTS IS A CONSERVATORY-STYLE PROGRAM OF STUDY FOR STUDENTS WHO WISH TO COMBINE INTENSIVE PERFORMING ARTS TRAINING WITH SERVICE-BASED LEARNING EXPERIENCES THAT BRAODEN THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE GLOBAL COMMUNITY. THE LEARNING EXPERIENCE AT THE YOUNG AMERICANS COLLEGE OF THE PERFORMING ARTS IS UNIQUE. THE STUDENTS ARE NOT ONLY PURSING THEIR EDUCAITON GOALS, BUT THEY ARE ALSO CAST MEMBERS IN THE WORLD-RENOWNED PERFORMANCE COMPANY, THE YOUNG AMERICANS, AND THEY ALSO PERFORM AND TRAVEL ACROSS THE UNITED STATES AND AROUND THE WORLD. THE YOUNG AMERICAN COLLEGE OF THE PERFORMING ARTS BOASTS AN 85 STUDNET RETENTION RATE AND A 92 INSTITUTIONAL COURSE COMPLETION RATE. THE YOUNG AMERICANS COLLEGE OF THE PERFORMING ARTS HAD A GRADUATION CERMONY IN DECEMBER 2019, WHERE OVER 30 OF THE 69 SOPHOMORES RECEIVED THEIR ASSOCIATES OF ARTS DEGREES; THE REMAINING STUDENT WERE SET TO RETURN IN SPRING AND FALL 2020, RESPECTIVELY.
