NEW PRAGUE AREA FIGURE SKATING HOLDS THREE ICE SKATING SHOWS A YEAR. THE CHRISTMAS EXHIBITION IS HELD IN DECEMBER AND HAD APPROXIMATELY 23 SKATERS PARTICIPATE. THIS IS A SHOW WHERE ALL THE SKATERS ARE IN GROUPS AND PERFORM SKATING NUMBERS TO HOLIDAY MUSIC. THE SHOW IS FREE TO THE PUBLIC; APPROXIMATELY 180 PEOPLE WERE IN ATTENDANCE. THE OTHER TWO SHOWS ARE HELD IN MARCH AT THE END OF THE SEASON. THEY ARE HELD BACK-TO-BACK AND ALL SKATERS PARTICIPATED IN THE SHOWS. THE SKATERS SKATE TO A VARIETY OF MUSIC AND REPEAT THE SHOW THE FOLLOWING DAY. THERE WERE ABOUT 259 PEOPLE THAT ATTENDED THE SATURDAY SHOW AND 265 IN ATTENDANCE ON SUNDAY. THE LEARN TO SKATE PROGRAM TEACHES COMMUNITY MEMBERS THE BASICS OF SKATING IN A "CLINIC" TYPE SETTING. PROFESSIONAL COACHES AND/OR ASSISTANTS TEACH GROUP LESSONS AT LEVELS DETERMINED BY YOUR CHILD'S TALENTS AND ABILITIES. OPEN TO BOYS OR GIRLS INTERESTED IN HOCKEY OR FIGURE SKATING. OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE FOR SKATERS IN A VARIETY OF LEVELS. THE LEARN TO SKATE PROGRAM SERVED APPROXIMATELY 141 CHILDREN.
