OUR MISSION IS TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO THE POOR. ST. VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY IS A FAITH BASED ORGANIZATION THAT PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TO THOSE WHO NEED SHORT-TERM SUPPORT TO AGAIN BECOME ACTIVE MEMBERS IN OUR COMMUNITY. FOOD, CLOTHING, & FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

PROVIDING ASSISTANCE TO THE POOR IN THE FORM OF FOOD, CLOTHING, HOUSEHOLD GOODS, FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR RENT, UTILITIES, MEDICAL AND PHARMACY COSTS, AND OTHER PRIMARY LIVING EXPENSES, AND FAITH BASED SUPPORT. INCLUDING THE FOOD BANK AND THRIFT STORES DESCRIBED BELOW, WE PROVIDED GOODS, SERVICES, AND FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO OVER 89,000 INDIVIDUALS DURING OUR FISCAL YEAR ENDED SEPTEMBER 30, 2021.
THE ORGANIZATION OPERATES A FOOD BANK WHICH SERVED OVER 140,000 INDIVIDUALS. REVENUES ABOVE REPRESENT ESTIMATED RETAIL VALUE OF FOOD DONATED BY LOCAL GROCERY STORES, OTHER FOOD PRODUCERS, AND AGENCIES ($14,584,500) AS WELL AS $332,432 OF CASH CONTRIBUTIONS TO THIS PROGRAM.
OPERATION OF THRIFT SHOPS, WHICH IN ADDITION TO SELLING DONATED ITEMS, THEY PROVIDE CLOTHING AND FURNITURE TO 1,700 NEEDY AND HOMELESS IN SOUTH FLORIDA. REVENUES INCLUDE $655,099 OF DONATED GOODS. COSTS INCLUDE AS COST OF GOODS SOLD $632,176 OF THOSE DONATED GOODS. THE REMAINDER ($22,923) WERE GIVEN TO THE NEEDY AND HOMELESS WITHOUT CHARGE.
