OUR MISSION IS TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO THE POOR. ST. VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY IS A FAITH BASED ORGANIZATION THAT PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TO THOSE WHO NEED SHORT-TERM SUPPORT TO AGAIN BECOME ACTIVE MEMBERS IN OUR COMMUNITY. FOOD, CLOTHING, & FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

PROVIDING ASSISTANCE TO THE POOR IN THE FORM OF FOOD, CLOTHING, HOUSEHOLD GOODS, FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR RENT, UTILITIES, MEDICAL AND PHARMACY COSTS, AND OTHER PRIMARY LIVING EXPENSES, AND FAITH BASED SUPPORT. INCLUDING THE FOOD BANKS AND THRIFT STORES DESCRIBED BELOW, WE PROVIDED GOODS, SERVICES, AND FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO OVER 125,000 INDIVIDUALS DURING OUR FISCAL YEAR ENDED SEPTEMBER 30, 2023.


REMAINING PROGRAMS AND EVENTS OF THE ORGANIZATION


THE ORGANIZATION OPERATES TWO FOOD BANKS WHICH SERVED OVER 129,000 INDIVIDUALS. REVENUES ABOVE REPRESENT ESTIMATED WHOLESALE VALUE OF FOOD DONATED BY LOCAL GROCERY STORES, OTHER FOOD PRODUCERS, AND AGENCIES AS WELL AS $320,217 OF DIRECT CONTRIBUTIONS TO THIS OPERATION.


OPERATION OF THRIFT SHOPS WHICH IN ADDITION TO SELLING DONATED ITEMS PROVIDE CLOTHING AND FURNITURE TO 2,811 NEEDY AND HOMELESS IN SOUTH FLORIDA. REVENUES INCLUDE $695,544 OF DONATED GOODS. COSTS INCLUDE AS COST OF GOODS SOLD $613,423 OF THOSE DONATED GOODS. THE REMAINDER WERE GIVEN TO THE NEEDY AND HOMELESS WITHOUT CHARGE.
