BALLET SCHOOL- EMPLOYS 8 QUALIFIED TEACHERS FOR PRE-PROFESSIONAL TRAINING TO DANCE IN CLASSICAL BALLET AND CONCERT DANCE. THE SCHOOL OPED IN SEPTEMBER 1993. THE BALLET SCHOOL OFFERS PROFESSIONAL DANCE INSTRUCTION TO CHILDREN AND ADULTS INCLUDING A CERTIFIED DANCE PROGRAM FOR PARKINSON'S DISEASE PD. ONE INSTRUCTOR IS NOW THE ONLY CERTIFIED DANCE FOR PD IN FLORIDA. THE SECOND INSTRUCTOR FOR PD IS CURRENTLY WORKING TOWARD CERTIFICATION. THE SCHOOL EMPLOYS 3 TRAINED ACCOMPANISTS FOR INTERMEDIATE AND ADVANCED LEVEL CLASSES.
PERFORMANCES: THE THEATRE GROUP VAVE THREE MAINSTAGE PRODUCTIONS IN EACH SEASON OF DANCE OFFERING "THE NUTCRACKER" FULL LENGTH STORY BALLET AND A REPERTORY CONCERT AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS THROUGHT THE COMMUNITY IN EFFORTS TO PROVIDE QUALITY CULTURAL DANCE PERFORMANCES. PRESENT 2 PUBLIC PERFORMANCES OF SUMMER DANCE CONCERT UTILIZING STUDENTS FROM INTENSIVE PERFORMANCE SUMMER WORKSHOP ALONGSIDE PROFESSIONAL GUEST ARTISTIC DANCERS. PRESENT 4 PUBLIC PERFORMANCES OF "THE NUTCRACKER" UTILIZING STUDENT DANCERS AND FEATURING PROFESSIONAL GUEST ARTISTS.
