PROGRAM ACCOMPLISHMENTS: DURING 2021, THE AGENCY CONDUCTED SEVERAL WORKSHOPS/EVENTS AS FOLLOWS: 1 - DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. YOUTH SYMPOSIUM - THIS EVENT WAS ABOUT EMPOWERING THE YOUNG PEOPLE TO DRIVE THE AGENDA FOR LEARNING ABOUT AND EMBRACING OPPORTUNITIES TO BECOME ACTIVISTS AROUND ISSUES OF IMPORTANCE TO THEM AND THEIR FUTURE. 300 PARTICIPANTS WERE SERVED. 2 - THE JEFFERSON REAVES HOUSE LIFE SKILLS SPRING WORKSHOP SERIES - THIS EVENT PROMOTED SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL LEARNING, PERSONAL GROOMING/DRESS FOR SUCCESS AND SELF-ESTEEM. MORE THAN 30 PARTICIPANTS WERE SERVED. 3 - PINK GOES RED - EVENT FOCUSED ON EDUCATING ATTENDEES ON THE IMPORTANCE OF HEART HEALTH AND THE BENEFITS OF HEALTHY LIFESTYLE CHOICES. 116 PARTICIPANTS WERE SERVED. THE EMERGING YOUNG LADIES MENTORING PROGRAM - THIS PROGRAM SERVED MORE THAN 100 PARTICIPANTS. THIS PROGRAM CENTERED AROUND PROMOTING AND ENHANCING PROFESSIONAL SKILLS FOR YOUNG WOMEN IN TODAY'S BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT.
