RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE CHARITIES OF TAMPA BAY SERVES THE MOST VULNERABLE POPULATION OF CHILDREN RECEIVING MEDICAL TREATMENT AND THEIR FAMILIES. OUR FOR-IMPACT ORGANIZATION OPENED IN 1980 AND CURRENTLY HAS 4 HOUSES IN TAMPA BAY - 3 IN ST PETE AND 1 IN TAMPA WITH A TOTAL OF 80 ROOMS IN ADDITION TO DAYTIME SERVICES, AND IN-HOSPITAL PROGRAMMING.OUR SERVICES ARE EXPANDING. IN 2023, WE EMBARDKED ON A CAPITAL CAMPAIGN "BRING HOPE HOME". THIS INCLUDES OPENING A NEW HOUSE AT ST. JOSEPH'S WOMEN'S AND CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL THAT WILL HAVE 11 BEDROOMS AND COMMON AREAS FOR BOTH OVERNIGHT AND DAYTIME FAMILIES (ANTICIPATED OPENING DATE JUNE 2025), IN ADDITION TO ENHANCING EXISTING PROGRAMS. EXPANSION WILL ALLOW US TO SERVE 25% MORE FAMILIES.
