CAMP BOGGY CREEK HOSTED 17 FAMILY RETREAT WEEKENDS PROVIDING CHILDREN WITH SERIOUS ILLNESSES AND THEIR FAMILIES A WEEKEND OF RESPITE AND THE OPPORTUNITY TO CREATE LASTING FRIENDSHIPS WITH OTHER FAMILIES FACING SIMILAR CHALLENGES.
DUE TO COVID-19, CAMP BOGGY CREEK WAS UNABLE TO HOST ANY IN-PERSON SUMMER CAMP. INSTEAD, THE CAMP SHIFTED TO FAMILY RETREATS THAT INCLUDED CHILDREN FROM 15 DISEASE GROUPS INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, HEART DISEASE, BLEEDING DISORDERS, RHEUMATIC DISEASE, CANCER, EPILEPSY, SICKLE CELL AND IMMUNE DISORDERS.
