THE HAVEN PROVIDES A SHELTER FOR HOMELESS PETS WHILE IMPLEMENTING LIFESAVING PROGRAMS TO END SHELTER EUTHANASIA OF HEALTHY AND TREATABLE DOGS AND CATS IN BALDWIN COUNTY, ALABAMA.

2021, THE HAVEN WELCOMED 345 HOMELESS CATS AND DOGS WHO WERE NEGLECTED OR ABUSED BY IRRESPONSIBLE PET OWNERS AND CARED FOR 239 CITY OF FAIRHOPE STRAY CATS AND DOGS. TOTAL COMBINED ANIMALS CARED FOR EQUALED 584. 70% OF THE ANIMALS ADMITTED WERE TRANSFERRED FROM HIGH INTAKE ANIMAL CONTROL SHELTERS IN BALDWIN COUNTY. EVERY ANIMAL RECEIVES FOOD/SUPPLIES, MEDICAL CARE TO INCLUDE EXAM, SPAY/NEUTER, VACCINATIONS, DEWORMING, MICRO-CHIP, DIAGNOSTIC TESTING, MEDICAL TREATMENTS, MONTHLY HEARTWORM AND OTHER EXTERNAL PARASITE PREVENTATIVES UNTIL THE ANIMAL IS PLACED. WE CONDUCTED 345 CAT AND DOG PET PLACEMENTS. THROUGH OUR PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP WITH THE CITY OF FAIRHOPE ANIMAL SHELTER, IN 2021 THE HAVEN PROVIDED DAILY CARE AND MEDICAL ATTENTION FOR 189 COFAS STRAY CATS AND DOGS, 142 OR 59% WERE TRANSFERRED TO THE HAVEN RECEIVING A LIVE OUTCOME AND 79 LOST PETS WERE REUNITED WITH THEIR OWNERS. TOTAL NUMBER OF ANIMALS HELPED EQUALED 584 CREATING A 100% SAVE RATE FOR THE HAVEN AND 97% LRR FOR COFAS.
