PROVIDE PEER HELPER SUPPORT PROGRAMS TO 49 ELEMENTARY, INTERMEDIATE, MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOLS IN BALDWIN COUNTY, ALABAMA. THE PROGRAM HAS APPROXIMATELY 1,400 PEER HELPERS SUPPORTING APPROXIMATELY 31,000 STUDENTS WITH AN EMPHASIS ON HELPING YOUTH DEAL WITH SUICIDE PREVENTION. THE PROGRAM ALSO PROVIDES SUPPORT FOR DEPRESSION, ANGER MANAGEMENT, DROPPING OUT OF SCHOOL, PREVENTION OF DRUG OR ALCOHOL INVOLVEMENT, CONFLICT RESOLUTION AND MORE. THE FOUNDATION FUNDS THE SCHOOLS' INDIVIDUAL PROGRAMS, PROVIDES CONFERENCES TO TRAIN THE PROGRAM COORDINATORS, AND PROVIDES A STUDENT CONFERENCE FOR ALL PEER HELPERS.
