THE ORGANIZATION'S PRIMARY PURPOSE IS PROMOTE ECONOMIC GROWTH IN THE BUSINESS DISTRICT AND TO KEEP DOWNTOWN BIRMINGHAM A SAFE AND FRIENDLY PLACE TO LIVE, WORK, OR VISIT. IN ADDITION TO STREET SECURITY PATROLS AND SECURITY ESCORTS, THE ORGANIZATION ALSO PROVIDES ADVICE AND DIRECTIONS, GRAFFITI REMOVAL, AND STRANDED MOTORIST ASSISTANCE. THE ORGANIZATION RESPONDS TO OVER 10,000 REQUESTS FOR SERVICES EACH YEAR.
