SUMNER COUNTY CASA INC. BEGAN ASSIGNING VOLUNTEERS IN APRIL 1992 AND HAS ADVOCATED FOR OVER 4,000 CHILDREN IN COURT PROCEEDINGS TO DATE IN CASES PRIMARILY INVOLVING ABUSE AND/OR NEGLECT. IN 2023-2024 38 CASA VOLUNTEERS PROVIDED SERVICE TO 140 CHILDREN, DONATED OVER 3,100 HOURS, TRAINED OVER 396 HOURS, AND DROVE OVER 2500 MILES. 6 NEW CASA VOLUNTEERS WERE TRAINED AND SWORN IN DURING THE 2023-2024 FISCAL YEAR. 63 CASES WERE CLOSED AND 61 NEW CASES WERE OPENED DURING 2023-2024.
