IN 2022 THE ROUNDTABLE EXECUTED FOUR QUARTERLY CONVENINGS OF ITS MEMBER EXECUTIVES AND BOARD OF DIRECTORS. AT EACH, MEMBER EXECUTIVES ENGAGED WITH ONE ANOTHER ON BUSINESS AND POLICY CONCERNS OF MUTUAL INTEREST, AND RECEIVED BRIEFINGS FROM SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTS AND GOVERNMENT AND CIVIC LEADERS ON SUBJECTS RELATING TO THOSE CONCERNS, INCLUDING LABOR FORCE TRENDS IN TENNESSEE, ACCESS TO HEALTH CARE AND INSURANCE, THE WEST TENNESSEE REGIONAL ECONOMY, AND STATE BUDGET AND POLICY PRIORITIES OF THE LEE ADMINISTRATION. IN ADDITION, THE ORGANIZATION EXECUTED THREE REGIONAL EVENTS INFORMING MEMBER EXECS ABOUT FORD'S BLUEOVAL CITY INVESTMENT, CYBERSECURITY THREATS TO BUSINESS, AND CORPORATE CULTURE RESEARCH.
THE ROUNDTABLE ACTIVELY INFORMED ITS MEMBER BUSINESS EXECUTIVES AND ALSO BUSINESS AND BROADER STAKEHOLDER AUDIENCES VIA MULTIPLE COMMUNICATION CHANNELS ABOUT POLICY, LEGAL AND BUSINESS MATTERS AFFECTING THE STATE'S BUSINESS COMMUNITY, INCLUDING UPDATES AND INSIGHTS ON BUSINESS TRENDS, LEGAL AND REGULATORY DEVELOPMENTS, AND ELECTIONS AT BOTH THE STATE AND FEDERAL LEVELS. THE ROUNDTABLE CONTRIBUTED SIGNIFICANTLY TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF STATE PUBLIC POLICIES IN THREE AREAS:THE REPLACEMENT OF TENNESSEE'S K-12 STATE FUNDING FORMULA WITH THE NEW TENNESSEE INVESTMENT IN STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT FORMULA; THE WORK OF THE TN CHILD CARE TASK FORCE, AS A KEY APPOINTEE REPRESENTING THE INTERESTS OF NON-PROVIDER BUSINESSES; AND THE TENNESSEE INFORMATION PROTECTION ACT, A NEW STATE REGULATORY FRAMEWORK GOVERNING CONSUMER RIGHTS TO DATA PRIVACY. IN ADDITION, THE ROUNDTABLE CONTRIBUTED FUNDS TO TWO STATE BALLOT COMMITTEES ADVOCATING IN FAVOR OF TWO PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE CONSTITUTION OF TENNESSEE: AMENDMENT 1, WHICH CODIFIED STATE RIGHT TO WORK PROTECTIONS, AND AMENDMENT 3, WHICH CLARIFIED THE STATE'S ABSOLUTE PROHIBITION ON SLAVERY.
