THE BAKERSFIELD KERN REGIONAL HOMELESS COLLABORATIVE IS A 501(C)3 NON-PROFIT AGENCY WHO ALSO ACTS AS THE HUD REQUIRED CONTINUUM OF CARE (CA_604), PROVIDING STRATEGIC DIRECTION AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE WITH PUBLIC, PRIVATE AND NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS WORKING TO REDUCE HOMELESSNESS IN KERN COUNTY. BKRHC EMPLOYS 5 FULL TIME POSITIONS (EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR, DATA ANALYST, COMPLIANCE COORDINATOR, AND HEALTHCARE AND HOMELESS PROJECT COORDINATOR) TO OVERSEE AND FACILITATE THE WORK OF THE COLLABORATIVE AND ITS MANY STANDING AND AD HOC COMMITTEES. THE COLLABORATIVE SUBMITS APPLICATIONS FOR FEDERAL AND STATE FUNDING, WHICH BRINGS $5 MILLION TO $7 MILLION PER YEAR TO KERN COUNTY AGENCIES SERVING INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES AT RISK OF OR EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS; CONDUCTS AN ANNUAL POINT-IN-TIME COUNTY OF THE HOMELESS; CONDUCTS HOMELESS OUTREACH EVENTS; AND CONTINUALLY EDUCATED THE COMMUNITY ON THE ISSUE OF HOMELESSNESS.
