ITS EMPHASIS ON COMPREHENSIVE AREA PLANNING, CREATIVE BRANDING INITIATIVES, AND HANDS-IN-THE-DIRT PROGRAM FACILITATION SERVE AS A TYPE OF CONNECTIVE TISSUES BETWEEN CITY AND CITIZEN. WE LOOK TO CATALYZE SUSTAINABLE, VIBRANT, AND LASTING COMMUNITIES IN THE PLACES, AND FOR THE PEOPLE, THAT NEED IT MOST.

PLACEMAKING: STARTED CREATING MASTERPLANS FOR A 40 ACRE SWATH OF LAND IN THE HEAVILY-GENTRIFYING GUADALUPE AND DEPOT DISTRICTS OF SLC AND BEGAN PLANNING WORK ON A 14-ACRE COMMUNITY FOOD TRUST IN OGDEN.
SPACE-MAKING: GIV HELPS OTHER NONPROFITS AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS PLAN AND CONSTRUCT BUILDINGS THAT FURTHER THEIR MISSIONS. GIV ASSISTED THE FOLLOWING GROUPS/PROJECTS) UTAH VOA ON A 22 UNIT APARTMENT COMPLEX TARGETED AT THOSE SUFFERING FROM SEVERE AND PERSISTENT MENTAL ILLNESS; 2) HOUSING AUTHORITY OF SALT LAKE CITY ON A 100 UNIT PROJECT TARGETED FOR THOSE EXITING HOMELESSNESS; 3) WASATCH COMMUNITY GARDENS ON THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW HEADQUARTERS.
ADVOCACY: BEGAN EARLY PLANNING ON WHAT WOULD BECOME THE PRAGMATISTS FOR CLEAN AIR INITIATIVE, A TRAINING AND ADVOCACY PROGRAM DESIGNED TO AIDE UTAH IN POWERING THEIR BUILDINGS WITH SOMETHING OTHER THAN FOSSIL FUELS.
