CMI'S MISSION IS TO MEET THE JACKSON COMMUNITY'S RECREATIONAL, ATHLETIC, CONFERENCE AND CULTURAL NEEDS THROUGH OPERATION OF THE TOWN-OWNED SNOW KING SPORTS AND EVENTS CENTER AND SURROUNDING PARK AREAS.

Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

MAINTAINING AND PROVIDING PUBLIC ACCESS TO THE CENTER'S FACILITIES FOR ICE RELATED RECREATIONAL USE. INCLUDING: -PUBLIC ICE SKATING 5 DAYS PER WEEK DURING ICE SEASON, INCLUDING RENTAL OF EQUIPMENT FOR ALL AGES -SUBSIDIZED YOUTH HOCKEY AND YOUTH SKATING PROGRAMS (OVER 600 YOUTH SKATING PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS) -PROVIDING ICE TIME AND EQUIPMENT FOR SCHOOL PROGRAMS, INCLUDING APPX 15- 20% FROM OUR UNDERSERVED HISPANIC COMMUNITY TO PARTICIPANT IN HOCKEY OR SKATING (OVER 200 SCHOOL PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS) -EXPANDED ADULT RECREATIONAL HOCKEY PROGRAMS (SERVED OVER 300 ADULTS IN RECREATIONAL HOCKEY OR SKATING PROGRAMS)


PROVIDING CONFERENCE SPACE AND FACILITIES FOR LOCAL NON-PROFITS AND CIVIC ORGANIZATIONS TO HOLD CONFERENCES AND FUNDRAISING EVENTS. IN ADDITION, TO PROVIDE SPACE TO HOLD OTHER FOR PROFIT EVENTS AND CONFERENCES THAT SUPPORT THE TOURISM BASED ECONOMY IN JACKSON HOLE AND DRIVING SALES TAX REVENUE TO THE TOWN OF JACKSON, OWNER OF THE SNOW KING SPORTS & EVENTS CENTER. FINALLY, PROVIDE SPACE FOR LOCAL, PRIVATE EVENTS PRIMARILY FOR THE LOCAL HISPANIC COMMUNITY, WHOSE TRADITIONAL SPACE AT THE COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE.


YEAR-ROUND HOSTING OF MAJOR COMMUNITY EVENTS, SPECIFICALLY MOOSE HOCKEY GAMES DURING THE WINTER. CONTINUED GROWTH OF THE MOOSE HOCKEY PROGRAM AS A MAJOR REVENUE DRIVER VIA SPONSORSHIP AND TICKET/CONCESSION REVENUES AND THE PREMIER COMMUNITY EVENT DURING THE WINTER MONTHS. AVERAGE GAME ATTENDANCE OF 1,000+ PATRONS FOR A 24 GAME HOME SEASON FROM NOVEMBER THROUGH MARCH.
