THE ORGANIZATION HOLDS TWELVE CONSERVATION EASEMENTS AND HAS INVESTED IN TWO PARCELS OF LAND. ONE PARCEL WAS PURCHASED IN 2004 TO IMPROVE CONSERVATION AND RECREATION FOR BOONE COUNTY RESIDENTS AND THE SECOND ACQUISITION (BELLEVUE PARK) WAS MADE IN 2005 FOR RECLAMATION IMPROVEMENTS, WITH THE HELP OF PUBLIC GRANTS AND DONATIONS. THE ORGANIZATION HAS CONVERTED THE 45 ACRE SAND AND GRAVEL MINE TO ITS ORIGINAL STATE. THE PROPERTY IS NOW BEING USED FOR EDUCATIONAL AND RECREATIONAL USES BY THE PUBLIC AS WELL AS BY THE LOCAL SCHOOLS AND COUNTY AGENCIES. THE BOONE CONSERVANCY CREATED THE LEE MCNEELY BIRDING TRAIL AT CONSERVANCY PARK. THIS ONE MILE TRAIL SERVES AS AN INTRODUCTION TO BIRD WATCHING IN NORTHERN KENTUCKY. IT WILL BE USED FOR EDUCATIONAL HIKES AND FIELD TRIPS. THE ORGANIZATION RECEIVED A PARCEL OF LAND DONATED BY RC DURR FOUNDATION ADJACENT TO THE BIRDING TRAIL. IN 2021 THE OGRANIZATION PURCHASED 2 ACRES OF LAND IN TO CONNECT THESE TWO PARCELS. THIS LAND REMAINS IN ITS NATURAL STATE. THE ORGANIZATION'S EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR'S DUTIES ARE TO BETTER UTILIZE AND PRIORITIZE ITS RESOURCES AS WELL AS INCREASE PUBLIC AWARENESS AND SUPPORT FOR ITS ACTIVITIES.
