THE MISSION OF THE HORTENSE B. PERRY FOUNDATION, INC. IS COMMITTED TO PROVIDING RESOURCES AND SERVICES WITHIN THE COMMUNITY WITH A FOCUS ON EDUCATION, HEALTH, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT, AND THE VISUAL AND PERFORMING ARTS. OUR TOP PRIORITIES ARE:EDUCATION, HEALTH, AND ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT.

Part 3 - Line 4a

THE HBP FOUNDATION PRESENTS SCHOLARSHIPS TO AREA HIGH SENIORS EACH YEAR. IN 2022, WE PRESENTED 15 SCHOLARSHIPS FOR A TOTAL OF $41,500 TO AREA SENIORS. ANOTHER MAJOR PROGRAM OF THE FOUNDATION IS THE SALUTE TO WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS AND EMERGENT LEADERS. THIS PROGRAM CELEBRATES AREA WOMEN WHO HAVE MADE OBTAINED SUBSTANTIAL PERSONAL ACHIEVEMENTS AND MADE SIGNIFICANT IMPACT IN THE COMMUNITY. ANOTHER MAJOR PROJECT INVOLVES WORKING WITH MIDDLE SCHOOL YOUTH UNDER OUR LEAF (LEADERSHIP, ENGAGEMENT, ACHIEVEMENT AND FUTURE) PROGRAM. THIS PROGRAM FOCUSES ON EMPOWERING MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS TO BE CONFIDENT, EMBRACE THEIR STRENGTHS AND TALENTS, UNDERSTAND THE IMPORTANCE OF COMMUNITY SERVICE, AND EMBRACE PUBLIC SPEAKING.
