TO CREATE OPPORTUNITIES FOR BETTER LIVES THROUGH CHRIST-CENTERED SERVICE.

MINISTRY INCLUDES A THRIFT STORE AND A CRAFT STORE OPEN TO THE COMMUNITY, AS WELL AS A WORKING CATTLE FARM, SEVERAL GREENHOUSES, A GROW APPALACHIA PROGRAM AND FACILITIES MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR. THE CRAFT STORE SELLS THE PRODUCTIONS OF LOCAL ARTISANS AND SOME LOGO ITEMS FOR THE ORGANIZATION, SUCH AS SHIRTS AND HATS. THE THRIFT STORE SELLS MAINLY CLOTHING AND HOUSEHOLD ITEMS DONATED TO SELL TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY AND VISITORS TO THE AREA. THE CATTLE FARM RAISES BEEF CATTLE TO SELL. THE GREENHOUSES PRODUCE FLOWERS AND VEGETABLES TO SELL TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY AND TO USE IN OUR VARIOUS MINISTIES. THE GROW APPALACHIA PROGRAM TEACHES AND ENABLES LOCAL FAMILIES TO GROW THEIR OWN PRODUCE, THUS ENHANCING FOOD SECURITY IN THE AREA. THE FACILITIES MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR MINISTRY MAINTAINS OUR BUILDINGS AND EQUIPMENT FOR USE IN OUR VARIOUS MINISTRIES.


TO PROVIDE HOME REPAIR AND CONSTRUCTION TO FAMILIES IN A VERY POOR AREA OF SOUTHEASTERN KENTUCKY AND NORTHEASTERN TENNESSEE, USING VOLUNTEER LABOR AND FUNDS FROM AROUND THE COUNTRY. IN 2021, WE UTILIZED ABOUT 542 VOLUNTEERS AND DONATED FINANCIAL RESOURCES IN OUR MISSION OUTREACH PROGRAM, REPAIRING SEVERAL HOMES. IN ADDITION TO THE COMMUNITY PROJECTS, SOME CAMPUS PROJECTS WERE COMPLETED.


COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT IN THE FORM OF PROVIDING BASIC HUMAN NEEDS, SUCH AS FOOD, CLOTHING, RENT AND UTILITY ASSISTANCE, EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS, MEDICAL EXPENSE ASSISTANCE, A LIFE SKILLS CLASS, WOMENS SUPPORT GROUPS, AND TRANSPORTATION TO MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS IN A VERY POOR AREA OF APPALACHIA. A FEW OF OUR MINISTRIES INCLUDE A YOUTH PROGRAM WITH YOUTH SPORTS TEAMS, TUTORING, AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS, PROVISION OF SCHOOL SUPPLIES AND AN ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PARTY AND TOY SALE FOR COMMUNITY CHILDREN; A SENIOR CENTER THAT MEETS THREE DAYS A WEEK AND PROVIDES HOT MEALS, COMMODITIES AND FELLOWSHIP TO SENIOR CITIZENS, AS WELL AS MEAL DELIVERIES WHEN NEEDED; A COMMUNITY FOOD PANTRY; A MATERNAL INFANT HEALTH OUTREACH WORKER PROGRAM AND BABY PANTRY; AND A COMMUNITY LIBRARY.


MEALS PROVIDED TO VOLUNTEERS IN MISSION PARTICIPANTS, ORGANIZATION STAFF AND OTHERS IN THE ORGANIZATIONS DINING HALL.
