TO DEVELOP AND MAINTAIN THE PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS AND ETHICS OF THE FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR. TO ENCOURAGE ALL FLIGHT INSTRUCTORS TO PARTICIPATE IN AND SUPPORT THE ASSOCIATION AND TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE ASSOCIATION'S CAPACITIES. TO RECOGNIZE FLIGHT INSTRUCTION AS A PROFESSION. TO ASSIST A CERTIFIED FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR IN UNDERSTANDING AND RECOGNIZING THE STANDARDS OF THE PROFESSION. TO DEVELOP AND MAINTAIN AN INTERCHANGE OF IDEAS AND PROCEDURES BETWEEN FLIGHT EXAMINERS, FLIGHT INSTRUCTORS AND THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION THROUGH COLLECTION AND DISSEMINATION OF PILOT KNOWLEDGE, METHODOLOGY AND NEW INFORMATION FOR THE BETTERMENT OF PILOT FLIGHT TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION.
