WMFE FM PROMOTES LIFELONG LEARNING AND HELPS TO BUILD GOOD CITIZENS THROUGH THE PURCHASE OF NATIONAL PROGRAMMING FROM A VARIETY OF SOURCES SUCH AS NATIONAAL PUBLIC RADIO, PUBLIC RADIO INTERNATIONAL, AMERICAN PUBLIC MEDIA, AND FLORIDA PUBLIC RADIO. WMFE CARRIES A COMPREHENSIVE SCHEDULE OF STATE, NATIONAL AND GLOBAL CURRENT AFFAIRS AND NEWS PROGRAMS SUCH AS MORNING EDITION, ALL THINGS CONSIDERED, MARKETPLACE, LATINO USA, THE TAKEAWAY, FRESH AIR, HERE AND NOW, AND THE BBC WORLD SERVICE. THESE PROGRAMS EXPAND OPPORTUNITIES FOR LEARNERS AT EVERY AGE. WMFE-HD2 BROADCASTS CLASSICAL MUSIC 24 HOURS DAILY. WMFE BROADCASTS MANY SPECIALTY PROGRAMS TO ENCOURAGE LEARNING.
