NORTHEAST FLORIDA AHEC HAS MADE IT A PRIORITY TO PROVIDE TOBACCO CESSATION OPPORTUNITIES THROUGHOUT THE REGION, WHILE TRAINING CURRENT AND FUTURE HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS ON HOW TO ASSIST TOBACCO-USING PATIENTS. IN ADDITION, ASSISTANCE IS PROVIDED TO WORKSITES INTERESTED IN PROVIDING CESSATION RESOURCES AND INFORMATION TO THEIR EMPLOYEES. THE REGION CONSISTS OF BAKER, CLALY, DUVAL, FLAGLER, NASSAU, ST. JOHNS, AND VOLUSIA COUNTIES.
THROUGH THE SUPPORT OF ELDERSOURCE AND THE DAPARTMENT OF ELDER AFFAIRS, NORTHEAST FLORIDA AHEC PROVIDES A VARIETY OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR SENIORS.
