DURING THE FISCAL 2022 YEAR, THE FLORIDA THEATRE PERFORMING ARTS CENTER, INC. SUCCESSFULLY MANAGED ANOTHER YEAR OF OPERATION OF THE FLORIDA THEATRE, A 1,865 SEAT CIRCA 1927 HISTORIC THEATRE LISTED ON THE NATIONAL REGISTER OF HISTORIC PLACES. LOCATED IN DOWNTOWN JACKSONVILLE, THE FLORIDA THEATRE ITSELF PROMOTED OR CO-PROMOTED 136 "MAINSTAGE" PROGRAMS OF MUSIC, DANCE, THEATRE AND FILM; HOSTED ANOTHER 21 PROGRAMS BY THEATRE RENTERS; PRESENTED 11 ARTS EDUCATION PERFORMANCES AT THE THEATRE, AND TOOK 30 ARTS EDUCATION PERFORMANCES DIRECTLY TO SCHOOLS. 38% OF THE THEATRE RENTAL EVENTS WERE PRESENTED BY OTHER NONPROFIT ARTS ORGANIZATIONS AND CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS USING THE THEATRE AT A SUBSIDIZED RATE. TOTAL ATTENDANCE AT ALL PERFORMANCES AND EVENTS WAS 159,225 PEOPLE. THE ECONOMIC IMPACT OF THE FLORIDA THEATRE'S ACTIVITY THIS YEAR WAS 16 MILLION, SUPPORTING 12 MILLION OF HOUSEHOLD INCOME, THE FULL TIME EQUIVALENT OF 491 JOBS, AND 1.6 MILLION OF STATE AND LOCAL TAX AND FEE INCOME.
