DURING THE FISCAL 2022 YEAR, THE FLORIDA THEATRE PERFORMING ARTS CENTER, INC. SUCCESSFULLY MANAGED ANOTHER YEAR OF OPERATION OF THE FLORIDA THEATRE, A 1,865 SEAT CIRCA 1927 HISTORIC THEATRE LISTED ON THE NATIONAL REGISTER OF HISTORIC PLACES. LOCATED IN DOWNTOWN JACKSONVILLE, THE FLORIDA THEATRE ITSELF PROMOTED OR CO-PROMOTED 136 "MAINSTAGE" PROGRAMS OF MUSIC, DANCE, THEATRE AND FILM; HOSTED ANOTHER 21 PROGRAMS BY THEATRE RENTERS; PRESENTED 11 ARTS EDUCATION PERFORMANCES AT THE THEATRE, AND TOOK 30 ARTS EDUCATION PERFORMANCES DIRECTLY TO SCHOOLS. 38% OF THE THEATRE RENTAL EVENTS WERE PRESENTED BY OTHER NONPROFIT ARTS ORGANIZATIONS AND CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS USING THE THEATRE AT A SUBSIDIZED RATE. TOTAL ATTENDANCE AT ALL PERFORMANCES AND EVENTS WAS 159,225 PEOPLE.
