FCNC MET THE GROWING DEMAND TO IMPROVE MENTAL WELL-BEING AND QUALITY OF LIFE FOR MORE THAN 5,000 FAMILIES, CHILDREN AND SENIORS ANNUALLY. THE "WINGS CENTER" WAS HOME TO 400 WORKSHOPS AND SUPPORT GROUPS, 300 MENTAL WELLNESS PROGRAMS, SOCIAL SUPPORT ACTIVITIES, MOVIES, 6 CHILDREN'S GRIEF CAMPS, 20 EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AND VOLUNTEER EVENTS. PARTICIPANTS OVERCAME LONELINESS, SHARED THEIR STORY, STRENGTHENED THEIR ABILITY TO COPE, RESOCIALIZED AND MADE NEW FRIENDS. FCNC HELPED PEOPLE OVERCOME GRIEF BY PROVIDING A PLACE FOR THEM TO DEVOTE TIME AND ENERGY TO HELP OTHERS THROUGH VOLUNTEERING. HENRY'S THRIFT & GIFT SHOPPE LOCATIONS IN LECANTO AND HOMOSASSA PROVIDED A SAFE PLACE TO BARGAIN SHOP AND TO INTERACT WITH OTHERS. 50,000 THRIFT SHOPPE SALES SUPPORTED THE MISSION. THE DISTRIBUTION TEAM PICKED UP 700 LARGE DONATIONS FROM GENEROUS DONORS. OUR CUSTOMERS DONATED 4,000 POUNDS OF NONPERISHABLE FOOD TO CITRUS UNITED BASKET (CUB). GENEROUS VOLUNTEERS DONATED 19,145 HOURS OF SERVICE AT AN ESTIMATED VALUE OF 529,934 (INDEPENDENT SECTOR 2021) AS GROUP FACILITATORS, COURIERS, CAMP COORDINATORS, OFFICE SUPPORT, BOARD OF DIRECTORS, ADVISORY BOARD, AND THRIFT SHOPPE OPERATIONS.
