BROOKS REHABILITATION INCLUDES A NETWORK OF OUTPATIENT CLINICS LOCATED THROUGHOUT JACKSONVILLE, NORTH TAMPA, AND ORLANDO. BROOKS' CLINICIANS ARE HIGHLY TRAINED TO PROVIDE EXCEPTIONAL PHYSICAL, OCUPATIONAL, AND SPEECH THERAPIES. CLINICIANS AND SPECIALISTS ARE AT THE TOP OF THEIR FIELDS, AND ARE DEDICATED TO CONSTANTLY GROWING THEIR SKILLS WHILE INTEGRATING THE LATEST TECHNOLOGY AND TREATMENT METHODS.THE COMBINATION OF EVIDENCED-BASED PRACTICE AND INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY ALLOWS BROOKS TO TREAT THE MOST COMPLEX AND UNIQUE CASES. IN 2021, THERE WERE 188,205 PATIENT VISITS, WITH 6,847,724 UNITS OF SERVICE.THE CLINICS INCLUDE A VARIETY OF HIGHLY SPECIALIZED CLINICS THAT TREAT PATIENTS WITH CONDITIONS THAT INCLUDE SPORTS INJURIES, BACK PAIN, STROKE, SPINAL CORD INJURIES, PARKINSON'S, MS, ALS, AUTISM, CEREBRAL PALSY, DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITY, MOBILITY DISORDERS, ARTHRITIS, DOWN'S SYNDROME, AS WELL AS OTHER CONDITIONS. OUR CLINICIANS ARE HIGHLY TRAINED TO PROVIDE EXCEPTIONAL PHYSICAL, OCCUPATIONAL AND SPEECH THERAPIES. CLINICIANS TREAT EVERYTHING FROM MINOR INJURIES TO TRAUMATIC, LIFE-ALTERING INJURIES AND ILLNESSES. BROOKS OUTPATIENT OFFERS WHAT FEW CAN - EXPERIENCE APPLYING THE BEST THERAPY TO ACHIEVE THE MOST COMPLETE RECOVERY POSSIBLE. CHILDREN AND ADULTS PARTICIPATE AT BOTH RECREATIONAL AND COMPETITIVE LEVELS. BROOKS SPONSORS ADAPTIVE SPORTING EVENTS AND COMPETITIONS, AS WELL AS INSTRUCTIONAL CLINICS LED BY ATHLETES HOLDING NATIONAL AND WORLD TITLES, GIVING PARTICIPANTS THE CHANCE TO LEARN FROM EXPERTS. THE PROGRAM PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES FOR FUN, FITNESS AND FRIENDSHIP TO INDIVIDUALS OF ALL AGES AND ABILITIES LIVING WITH PHYSICAL AND/OR VISUAL DISABILITY. NO EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRES AND THERE IS NO COST FOR PARTICIPATION WITH ALL EQUIPMENT, INSTRUCTION AND COACHING PROVIDED FREE TO ALL INDIVIDUALS. IN 2021, THERE WERE 525 PARTICIPANTS AND 7,785 VISITS.CLUBHOUSETHE BROOKS BRAIN INJURY CLUBHOUSE IS THE FIRST AND ONLY ABI (ACQUIRED BRAIN INJURY) CLUBHOUSE IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA AND ONE OF LESS THAN 20 WORLDWIDE. THE PROGRAM OFFERS A RANGE OF ACTIVITIES DESIGNED TO HELP THE ONGOING RECOVERY PROCESS FOR INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED A BRAIN INJURY. THE BROOKS CLUBHOUSE HELPS INDIVIDUALS REGAIN SOCIAL, PHYSICAL, COGNITIVE AND VOCATIONAL ABILITIES. NOT ONLY DO MEMBERS CHOOSE TO PARTICIPATE IN A VARIETY OF DIFFERENT ACTIVITIES, (E.G., PERSONAL FITNESS, YOGA, AQUATICS, CREATIVE DANCE, MUSIC, ARTS AND CRAFTS, COGNITIVE ACTIVITIES, GAMES, COMMUNITY OUTINGS, ETC.), BUT THEY ALSO HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO MANAGE CLUBHOUSE OPERATIONS BY JOINING ONE OF THE CLUBHOUSE WORK UNITS, HELPING THEM REESTABLISH THEMSELVES IN THE COMMUNITY AND RETURN TO WORK. WORKING SIDE-BY-SIDE WITH PROFESSIONAL STAFF, MEMBERS RUN EVERY ASPECT OF THE CLUBHOUSE INCLUDING MEAL PLANNING AND PREPARATION (CULINARY WORK UNIT), BUSINESS OFFICE WORK UNIT, FACILITIES MAINTENANCE AND PRODUCT PRODUCTION. IN 2020, THERE WERE 71 INDIVIDUALS SERVED.PEDIATRIC RECREATIONTHE PEDIATRIC RECREATION PROGRAM OFFERS A SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT FOR YOUTH WITH PHYSICAL AND/OR DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES SO THEY CAN ENGAGE IN RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES ALONGSIDE THEIR PEERS. THE PROGRAM INCREASES SOCIALIZATION BY PROVIDING ACTIVITIES THAT FOSTER A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE AND CONNECTION TO THE COMMUNITY. FAMILY SUPPORT IS AVAILABLE FOR THOSE SEEKING OPPORTUNITIES FOR THEIR CHILDREN OUTSIDE OF TRADITIONAL THERAPIES. ALL ACTIVITIES ARE FREE TO FAMILIES IN ORDER TO DECREASE THE BURDEN OF FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY AND ENSURE INCLUSION FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS. IN 2021, THERE WERE 274 PARTICIPANTS.APHASIA CENTERTHE APHASIA PROGRAM PROVIDES AN OPPORTUNITY TO CONNECT WITH OTHERS WITH APHASIA THROUGH INTERACTIVE AND CREATIVE PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES. THE PROGRAM ENCOURAGES MULTI-MODIALITY COMMUNICATION TECHNIQUES AND INCREASES CONFIDENCE TO HELP LIVE SUCCESSFULLY WITH APHASIA. BROOKS OFFERS INTENSIVE COMPRESIVE APHASIA PROGRAM RUN BY HIGHLY TRAINED SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGISTS. THE PROGRAM INCLUDES: COMPREHENSIVE ASSESSMENTS AND GOAL RECOMMENDATIONS; INDIVIDUALIZED THERAPY; SOCIAL COMMUNICATION GROUPS; LIFE PARTICIPATION ACTIVITIES; FAMILY TRAINING AND SUPPORT; INDIVIDUALIZED HOME TREATMENT, TRAINING, VIRTUAL GROUPS, AND CARRYOVER HOME PROGRAMS.
