THE APVFD IS DEDICATED TO PROVIDING BOTH FIRE PROTECTION AND EMS SERVICES TO THE COMMUNITIES WE SERVE IN FRANKILIN COUNTY, FL. WE MAINTAIN MODERN EQUIPMENT FOR FIREFIGHTERS AND FIRST RESPONDERS, AND PROVIDE TRAINING FOR OUR VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS AND FIRST RESPONDERS.

THE SOLE PURPOSE OF APVFD IS TO PROVIDE FIRE PROTECTION AND EMS SERVICES TO THE COMMUNITY WE SERVE. ALL OF OUR SERVICES ENCOMPASS ONE PROGRAM. THERE WERE NO STRUCTURAL FIRES IN 2021, HOWEVER, THERE WERE A FEW WILD FIRES FOR WHICH OUR VOLUNTEERS RESPONDED. AS IS THE CASE IN MOST YEARS, THERE WERE SEVERAL EMS CALLS FOR WHICH OUR VOLUNTEERS RESPONDED. APVFD CONTINUES TO PURCHASE NEWER EQUIPMENT, MAINTAIN AND REPAIR OUR 3 FIRE ENGINES AND TWO FIREHOUSES. APVFD PURCHASED FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTING A NEW FIREHOUSE ON ALLIGATOR POINT. THE OLD FIREHOUSE SUSTAINED SIGNIFICANT DAMAGED FROM HURRICANE MICHAEL. APVFD HAS 5 CERTIFIED FIREFIGHTERS, ONE FIREFIGHTER, AND A FEW CERTIEFIED EMS VOLUNTEERS. APVFD HAS SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASED ITS TRAINING FOR OUR VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS AND EMS VOLUNTEERS.
