DISTRIBUTION OF FEE BILL FUNDS FIRE DISTRICT MAINTENANCE AND DISTRIBUTION OF FUNDS - AS OUTLINED IN ALABAMA ACT 95-393 AND ASSOCIATED AMENDMENTS AND UPDATES, THE ASSOCIATION COORDINATES THE ESTABLISHMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF FIRE DISTRICTS WITHIN ELMORE COUNTY, PROVIDES INFORMATIONAND DETAILS ON THE DISTRICTS TO COUNTY PROBATE OFFICE AND COUNTY REVENUE COMMISSIONER, RECEIVES FIRE SERVICE FEE FUNDS FROM THE COUNTY COMMISSIONS AND UTILIZING BREAKDOWNS PROVIDED BY THE PROBATE AND REVENUE OFFICE DISTRIBUTES THE FUNDS QUARTERLY TO THE FIRE DEPARTMENT PROVIDING FIRE PROTECTION TO THE ASSOCIATED FIRE DISTRICT. THESE FUNDS PROVIDE THE FUNDING BACKBONE TO PROVIDE THE FIRE PROTECTION AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES TO THE 90,000+ CITIZENS AND VISITORS IN ELMORE COUNTY, AND HAVE ASSURED FIRE PROTECTION IS PROVIDED AND MAINTAINED TO ALL OF THE COUNTY.
TRAINING OCCUPANCY THE ASSOCIATION BUILT AND MAINTAINS A 5,000 SQUARE FOOT TRAINING CENTER FOR CLASSROOM TRAINING OF FIRE FIGHTERS AND FIRST RESPONDERS AND A FOUR STORY TRAINING TOWER. EXAMPLES OF CLASSROOM TRAINING INCLUDE: ALABAMA CERTIFIED FIRE FIGHTER I & II, FIRST RESPONDER, STATE AND FEDERAL CERTIFIED EMT, NIMS 100, NIMS 200, NIMS 300, NIMS 400, NIMS 700, MONTHLY APOST CEUS FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT IN ELMORE AND SURROUNDING COUNTIES, DISASTER AND EMERGENCY RESPONSE DRILLS AND ASSOCIATED TRAINING, EMERGENCY HAM RADIO TRAINING, EMERGENCY DISPATCHER TRAINING, ETC. THE BACKUP CENTER AND THE EMERGENCY DISPATCH CENTER FOR ELMORE COUNTY 911 IS MAINTAINED IN THE TRAINING CENTER. THE TRAINING TOWER IS SUPPLING REALISTIC TRAINING SUCH AS: HOSE ADVANCEMENT, FIRE ATTACK, VENTILATION, SEARCH AND RESCUE, LADDERING, ROOF PENETRATION, CONFINED SPACE WORK, HIGH-ANGLE RESCUE, AND OTHER SPECIALIZED TRAINING SIMULATIONS AND DEPLOYMENTS.
COUNTYWIDE RECORDS SYSTEM A COUNTYWIDE RECORDS SYSTEM HAS BEEN PURCHASED FROM EMERGENCY REPORTING SYSTEMS. THE NEW SYSTEM HANDLES ALL ASPECTS OF REPORT AND RECORD KEEPING FOR A FIRE DEPARTMENT. SYSTEM IS WEB BASED AND MEETS ALL STATE AND FEDERAL STANDARDS. FIRE REPORT COMPONENT WILL BE INTEGRATED INTO THE NEW CAD SYSTEM AND CONSOLIDATED COUNTY WIDE DATA CAN NOW BE COMPILED.
