OUR MISSION IS TO SUPPORT FAMILIES THROUGH THE HEALING AND TRANSITION HOME OF PATIENTS BEING SERVED BY JOSEPH M. STILL BURN CENTER AT DOCTORS HOSPITAL IN AUGUSTA, GA AND BURN AND RECONSTRUCTIVE CENTERS OF AMERICA.

WE PROVIDE FREE LODGING AT THE CHAVIS HOUSE TO APPROXIMATELY 1,600 FAMILY MEMBERS EACH YEAR. FAMILIES OF HOSPITALIZED BURN PATIENTS MAY STAY FREE FOR THE DURATION OF THEIR FAMILY MEMBER'S HOSPITALIZATION. PATIENTS WHO RETURN FOR FOLLOW-UP CARE MAY ALSO STAY AT THE CHAVIS HOUSE.
WE PROVIDE SERVICES TO PATIENTS UPON THEIR DISCHARGE TO ASSISTANCE WITH THEIR TRANSITION HOME. PATIENTS NEEDING SERVICES MAY APPLY FOR ASSISTANCE WITH TRANSPORTATION, MEDICATION, AND ANTI-SCARRING GARMENTS.SUPPORT SERVICES SUCH AS BURN SURVIVOR REUNIONS FOR PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES ARE PROVIDED TO ASSIST WITH THE PSYCHO-SOCIAL CHANGES THAT BURN SURVIVORS AND THEIR FAMILIES EXPERIENCE.
