RESIDENTIAL - THE RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM AT THE HAVEN OFFERS SIX ON-CAMPUS SINGLE FAMILY GROUP HOMES ON A BEAUTIFUL 32-ACRE CAMPUS FOR ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES. EACH HOME PROVIDES 24/7 STAFF SUPERVISION INCLUDING TRANSPORTATION, MEDICAL CARE, DAILY LIVING SKILLS TRAINING, AND COMMUNITY INTEGRATION. TWO ADDITIONAL HOMES ARE FUNDED AND SCHEDULED TO BEGIN CONSTRUCTION IN THE SPRING OF 2022.
ADULT DAY TRAINING - THE ADULT DAY TRAINING PROGRAM IS AN EDUCATIONAL, SOCIAL AND VOCATIONAL BASED PROGRAM THAT IS INTENDED TO SUPPORT CLIENTS IN THEIR DAILY ROUTINES. ADT FOSTERS THE DEVELOPMENT OF SKILLS THROUGH JOB EXPLORATION, COMMUNITY INCLUSION, VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES AND SELF-ADVOCACY TRAINING. CLIENTS WITH INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES ARE ABLE TO GAIN ESSENTIAL SKILLS THAT ARE NEEDED TO FOSTER THEIR INDEPENDENCE. CLIENTS ARE OFFERED A VARIETY OF CHOICES TO PARTICIPATE IN THROUGHOUT THE DAY. ARTS AND CRAFTS, CULINARY ARTS, FITNESS, JANITORIAL CREW, AND GROUNDS MAINTENANCE, ARE SOME OF THE OPTIONS THAT CLIENTS CAN CHOOSE TO PARTICIPATE IN DURING THEIR ADT HOURS. THE ACTIVITIES AND ESTABLISHED ROUTINES ARE MEANT TO BE MEANINGFUL AND PROVIDE INTEREST FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL CLIENT. THERAPY SERVICES ARE ABLE TO BE OFFERED ON-SITE THROUGH OUTSIDE PROVIDERS GIVING CLIENTS THE OPPORTUNITY TO STRENGTHEN THEIR SKILLS WHILE PARTICIPATING IN THEIR ADULT DAY TRAINING PROGRAM.
THE SELBY PRESCHOOL PROVIDES CHILDREN, AGES ONE TO FIVE, WITH A HIGH- QUALITY, EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION. CLASSROOMS ARE INCLUSIVE, MEANING THAT TYPICALLY DEVELOPING CHILDREN AND CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS ARE TAUGHT TOGETHER IN THE SAME SETTING. SELBY'S FOCUS OF CONNECTING CHILDREN OF DIFFERENT BACKGROUNDS AND ABILITIES ENCOURAGES EMPATHY, AS WELL AS SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL SKILLS THAT WILL BENEFIT CHILDREN THROUGHOUT THEIR ENTIRE LIVES. IT IS THE GOAL OF SELBY PRESCHOOL THAT EACH CHILD DEVELOPS TO HIS OR HER HIGHEST POTENTIAL AS THEY GO ON TO THEIR NEXT LEVEL OF EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCES.
