COMMUNITY SUPPORT SERVICES / CONSUMER ADVOCACY AND EDUCATION - TRAINED 184 VOLUNTEERS AND FAMILY MEMBERS, PROVIDED GUARDIAN ADVOCATES FOR INDIVIDUALS WHOM THE COURTS HAD DECLARED TEMPORARILY INCOMPETENT DUE TO MENTAL ILLNESS.
OUR MENTAL HEALTH CONNECTIONS PROGRAM PROVIDES FREE INFORMATION AND REFERRAL RESOURCES FOR INDIVIDUALS SEEKING MENTAL HEALTH INFORMATION AND PROVIDERS FOR THEMSELVES, FAMILY MEMBERS OR FRIENDS. THE PROGRAM MAINTAINS A DATABASE OF MORE THAN 3000 MENTAL HEALTH, ADDICTION TREATMENT AND COMMUNITY CARE PROVIDERS, HOSPITALS AND TREATMENT FACILITIES, AND CONSUMER RUN ORGANIZATIONS THAT DELIVER SERVICES IN ORANGE, OSCEOLA, SEMINOLE, LAKE, BREVARD AND VOLUSIA COUNTIES POISED AND READY TO ASSIST. WITH THE HELP OF OUR VOLUNTEERS, 1700 INDIVIDUALS WERE REFERRED TO MENTAL HEALTH PROVIDERS AND RESOURCES IN 2021-2022.
IN 2021-22, THE OUTLOOK CLINIC SERVED 2,760 PATIENTS, 49% OF WHOM WERE EMPLOYED, ALL UNINSURED, FOR FREE.
