EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS - OUR LEADERSHIP PROGRAM TEACHES GIRLS HOW TO DISCOVER, CONNECT, AND TAKE ACTION BY EMPOWERING THEIR CHOICES THROUGH GIRL LED COOPERATIVE LEARNING AND LEARN BY DOING PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES. THE GIRL SCOUT COOKIE PROGRAM TEACHES GIRLS FIVE SKILLS: GOAL SETTING, DECISION MAKING, MONEY MANAGEMENT, PEOPLE SKILLS, AND BUSINESS ETHICS. A VARIETY OF TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES FOR ADULTS INCLUDE WEB BASED TOOLS, ANNUALLY SCHEDULED CONFERENCES, WHERE VOLUNTEERS LEARN ABOUT THEIR ROLE IN THE MOVEMENT, AND THE TRENDS THAT IMPACT GIRLS.
SERVICE TO TROOPS - SERVICE TO ALL ADULT MEMBERS AND GIRLS AGES 5 - 17 WITHIN THE CITRUS COUNCIL JURISDICTION WHICH COMPRISES BREVARD, LAKE, ORANGE, OSCEOLA, SEMINOLE AND VOLUSIA COUNTIES. AS THE PREMIER LEADERSHIP ORGANIZATION FOR GIRLS, WE PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR GIRLS THROUGH A SERIES OF PROGRAMS SUCH AS OUR FINANCIAL LITERACY PROGRAM, STEM (SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING AND MATH) PROGRAMS, AND OUR HEALTHY LIVING INITIATIVES.
PROPERTIES - THE COUNCIL MAINTAINS SEVEN PROPERTIES INCLUDING THE SERVICE CENTER, CAMP SITES, AND BUILDINGS WHICH HOUSE VARIOUS SCOUTING ACTIVITIES INCLUDING SUMMER CAMP PROGRAMS, YEAR ROUND DAY AND RESIDENT CAMP, AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAMS TO SUPPORT OUR NATIONAL FOREVER GREEN INITIATIVE.
