MEMBER SERVICES: THE CHAMBER IDENTIFIES IMPORTANT ISSUES THAT AFFECT THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY AND IMPLEMENTS PROGRAMS TO ADDRESS THOSE NEEDS. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO PROVIDES NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES FOR ITS MEMBERS AND DEVELOPS PROGRAMS TO REACH OUT TO UNDER-SERVED AREAS OF THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY. APPROX 525 MEMBERS
CIVIC LEADERSHIP: THE ORGANIZATION'S GOAL IS TO PROVIDE LEADERSHIP TO THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY. IN WORKING TOWARDS THIS COMMITTMENT, THE ORGANIZATION DEVELOPS STRATEGIC REGIONAL PARTNERSHIPS AND INITIATIVES TO ADVANCE THE INTERESTS OF ITS MEMBERS AND SECURE BENEFITS FROM THE REGIONAL COMMUNITY. THE ORGANIZATION CONTINUES TO HOST A SERIES OF FORUMS IN ADDITION TO THE LEADERSHIP RECEPTION. AS AN ADDED BENEFIT TO ITS MEMBERS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC, THE ORGANIZATION ARRANGED A SERIES FOCUSED ON ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT WITH DISTINGUISHED SPEAKERS.
EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH: PROGRAMS AND PARTNERSHIPS HAVE BEEN DEVELOPED TO IMPROVE THE OVERALL QUALITY OF THE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEMS. THE ORGANIZATION HAS CONTINUED THE SCHOOL OF GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS. IT ALSO CONTINUES TO HOST LEADERSHIP WEST VOLUSIA, WHICH IS DONE IN PARTNERSHIP WITH STETSON UNIVERSITY.
