PALMETTOPRIDE'S PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE IS TO SPONSOR ANTI-LITTER EDUCATION AND PROMOTION TO THE PUBLIC. PALMETTO PRIDE SPENDS THE MAJORITY OF ITS REVENUE ON ADVERTISING, OUTREACH GRANTS, AND EDUCATION. PALMETTOPRIDE HAS HELPED MORE THAN 640,000 VOLUNTEERS REMOVE 73 MILLION POUNDS OF LITTER FROM SOUTH CAROLINA ROADS AND NATURAL AREAS SINCE INCEPTION INCLUDING APPROXIMATELY 62,000 VOLUNTEERS AND 2 MILLION POUNDS OF LITTER COLLECTED IN THE CURRENT YEAR.
