SINCE 1999 SHALOM HOUSE MINISTRIES INC HAS OPERATED A FACILITY FOR WOMEN WHO STRUGGLE WITH DRUG AND ALCOHOL ADDICTION. IN 2008, THE ORGANIZATION OPENED A TREATMENT FACILITY. TO DATE, MORE THAN 800 WOMEN HAVE CHOSEN TREATMENT AT SHALOM RECOVERY CENTER. WE ARE DEDICATED TO PROVIDING WOMEN EVIDENCE-BASED TOOLS OF RECOVERY TO TAKE THEIR PLACE AS PRODUCTIVE PARENTS AND CITIZENS IN SOCIETY. SITUATED ON A 104-ACRE FARM IN BELTON, SC, SHALOM CAN ACCOMMODATE UP TO 20 WOMEN AT A TIME. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO OPERATES A 10-BED TRANSITIONAL HOME IN ANDERSON, SC FOR WOMEN WHO NEED A SAFE PLACE TO TRANSITION WHILE LEARNING FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY, IN ADDITION TO DEVELOPING EFFECTIVE LIVING SKILLS AFTER LEAVING TREATMENT.
