CREATIVE ARTS THE BLACK MOUNTAIN CENTER FOUNDATION PROVIDES FUNDING FOR THE CREATIVE/EXPRESSIVE ARTS PROGRAM. THE CREATIVE ARTS PROGRAM PROVIDES ARTS-BASED GROUPS AND INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS USING MUSIC, DANCE/MOVEMENT, DRAMA, PAINTING, SCULPTURE, AND OTHER ART MODALITIES. CREATIVE EXPRESSIVE ARTS SESSIONS FOCUS ON RESIDENTS' ENGAGEMENT IN THE PROCESS, AND NOT ON FINISHED PRODUCTS. THE GOAL IS TO ACHIEVE A THERAPEUTIC BENEFIT SUPPORTING RESIDENTS' STRENGTHS, WHILE PROVIDING OPPORTUNITIES TO EXPRESS EMOTIONS SAFELY, SUPPORT WELLNESS, AND ENHANCE QUALITY OF LIFE.
JUST PRESS PLAY THE BLACK MOUNTAIN CENTER FOUNDATION PROVIDES FUNDING FOR THE JUST PRESS PLAY PROGRAM. THE JUST PRESS PLAY PROGRAM PROVIDES BMNTC MODELS THE JUST PRESS PLAY PROGRAM FROM THE MUSIC & MEMORY PROGRAM CUSTOMIZING PERSONALIZED PLAYLISTS FOR BMNTC RESIDENTS WITH NEUROCOGNITIVE DISORDERS AND DEMENTIA. THIS PROGRAM HELPS TO SUPPORT THE EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING OF OUR RESIDENTS USING INTENTIONAL RECORDED MUSIC, WITH THE GOAL OF REAWAKENING POSITIVE AND MEANINGFUL MEMORIES TO ENRICH THEIR LIVES.
LIFE ENRICHMENT PROGRAM FUND (LES) THE BLACK MOUNTAIN CENTER FOUNDATION PROVIDES FUNDING FOR THE LIFE ENRICHMENT PROGRAM FUND. THE LIFE ENRICHMENT PROGRAM FUND PROVIDES RESOURCES AND TOOLS FOR THE DAILY, WEEKLY AND MONTHLY ACTIVITIES PROVIDED THROUGH THE LIFE ENRICHMENT SPECIALISTS' (LES ACTIVITY CARTS AND ACTIVITY SPACES. DAILY ACTIVITIES INCLUDE CONNECTIONS TIME & ONE TO ONE ACTIVITY SESSIONS. THE RESOURCES AND TOOLS THAT THE FOUNDATION PAYS FOR YEARLY TO SUPPORT THESE DAILY ACTIVITIES INCLUDE: NEWSPAPER SUBSCRIPTION, EASEL BOARDS FOR SIGNAGE COMMUNICATION, SENSORY LIGHTS, CD & MUSIC PLAYERS AND SPEAKERS, ACTIVITY BLANKETS, AND FIDGET/SENSORY ITEMS. EVERY WEEK THE LES TEAM OFFERS SPA GROUPS, SPECIAL DINING AND COFFEE CLUBS AND THESE ARE SUPPORTED BY RESOURCES SUCH AS URNS, HOSPITALITY SUPPLIES, TOWEL WARMERS & SELF-ENHANCEMENT SUPPLIES. LASTLY, THE MONTHLY LES GROUPS INCLUDE: KARAOKE/MUSIC, BAKE CLUB, LETTER WRITING, GAMING, WATCH PARTIES & ARTS/CRAFTS AND MORE.
