BAXTER REGIONAL HOSPITAL FOUNDATION'S MISSION IS RAISING MONEY TO KEEP THE COMMUNITY HEALTHY. THE FUND- RAISING EFFORTS OF THE FOUNDATION PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR BRMC.

THROUGH THEIR FUNDRAISING EFFORTS, BAXTER REGIONAL HOSPITAL FOUNDATION PROVIDES FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO BAXTER REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER (HOSPITAL). THE HOSPITAL PROVIDES HEALTH CARE SERVICES REGARDLESS OF A PERSONS ABILITY TO PAY. THIS LEAVES THE HOSPITAL ABSORBING MORE THAN $10 MILLION IN UNPAID MEDICAL BILLS EACH YEAR. THROUGH CHARITABLE CONTRIBITIONS RECEIVED IN 2021 THE FOUNDATION WAS ABLE TO PROVIDE THE HOSPITAL WITH OVER $1,600,000 IN GENERAL SUPPORT INCLUDING FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR THE PEITZ CANCER SUPPORT HOUSE, SCHLIEMANN CENTER FOR WOMENS HEALTH EDUCATION, REPPELL DIABETES LEARNING CENTER, AND MRUK FAMILY CENTER ON AGING. THE FOUNDATION ALSO PROVIDES FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO HOSPICE OF THE OZARK OZARKS, BAXTER REGIONAL HEALTH SYSTEM, AND MOUNTAIN HOME CHRISTIAN CLINIC.
THE FOUNDATION MAINTAINS SEVERAL SCHOLARSHIPS, INCLUDING THE ANDERSON DOWNES, BAKER, KERR, AND CAROLINE AUSTINO SCHOLARSHIPS. THESE SCHOLARSHIPS PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO INDIVIDUALS ENTERING THE HEALTH CARE PROFESSION. DURING 2021, THE FOUNDATION AWARDED MORE THAN 346,000 IN SCHOLARSHIPS TO NURSING, EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN, PARAMEDIC, AND MEDICAL DOCTOR STUDENTS.
