THE FOOD BANK DISTRIBUTED 4148 ALLOTMENTS TO 1089 HOUSEHOLDS CONTAINING 3326 PERSONS. THERE WERE 323,062 POUNDS OF FOOD DISTRIBUTED INCLUDING USDA COMMODITY ITEMS, SALVAGED, DONATED, AND PURCHASED FOOD.
FOOD FOR HUNGRY KIDS: PURCHASED, PACKED AND DISTRIBUTED WEEKEND FOOD PACKS TO CHILDREN AT RISK OF HUNGER AS IDENTIFIED BY THE SCHOOL NURSES FOR BERRYVILLE AND GREEN FOREST PUBLIC SCHOOLS EACH WEEKEND OF THE FALL, SPRING AND SUMMER TERMS OF THE SCHOOL SESSION.
PROVIDING FAMILIES USING OUR PROGRAM THE OPPORTUNITY TO SUPPORT THE NEEDS OF THEIR CHILDREN THROUGH ALLOWING THEIR CHILDREN EACH VISIT TO CHOOSE A CHILDREN'S BOOK TO TAKE HOME.
