REACH OF HAYWOOD COUNTY SERVES AS A REFERRAL AGENCY FOR PERSONS CONFRONTED WITH THE CONSEQUENCES OF RAPE AND DOMESTIC VIOLENCE BY PROVIDING TEMPORARY SHELTER, COUNSELING, AND OTHER SUPPORT. TOTAL SHELTER NIGHTS WERE 1,282. THE NUMBER OF ADULTS SERVED WAS 346 AND CHILDREN WAS 277. THE HOTLINE RECIEVED 5,973 VOLUNTEER HOURS. A THRIFT STORE IS OPERATED TO GENERATE ADDITIONAL PROGRAM SERVICE FUNDING. DURINT THE YEAR, THE THRIFT STORE RECIEVED 3,050 VOLUNTEER HOURS. TOTAL SERVICES PROVIDED WERE 15,177 FOR THE YEAR.
