REACH OF HAYWOOD COUNTY SERVES AS A REFERRAL AGENCY FOR PERSONS CONFRONTED WITH THE CONSEQUENCES OF RAPE AND DOMESTIC VIOLENCE BY PROVIDING TEMPORARY SHELTER, COUNSELING, AND OTHER SUPPORT. TOTAL SHELTER NIGHTS WERE 2,518. THE NUMBER OF ADULTS SERVED WAS 294 AND CHILDREN WAS 208. THE HOTLINE RECIEVED 6,322 VOLUNTEER HOURS. A THRIFT STORE IS OPERATED TO GENERATE ADDITIONAL PROGRAM SERVICE FUNDING. DURINT THE YEAR, THE THRIFT STORE RECIEVED 4,877 VOLUNTEER HOURS. TOTAL SERVICES PROVIDED WERE 4,604 FOR THE YEAR.
