AFTER SEVERAL YEARS OF INACTIVITY AND STRATEGIC CONVERSATIONS, TH BOARD OF GEORGIA ARTS NETWORK RESOLVED TO DISSOLVE THE ORGANIZATION ON AUGUST 21ST 2021. THE OBLIGATORY FILINGS WERE SUBSEQUENTLY MADE WITH THE GEORGIA SECRETARY OF STATE AND GEORGIA ATTORNEY GENERAL, AND NOTICE SENT TO THE TIFTON GASETTE FOR PUBLICATION. THE BOARDRESOLVED TO TRANSFER ALL REMAINING GAN ASSETS TO THE FOX THEATRE, INC ATLANTA GA TO BE USED TO CORE ACTIVITIES PROVISION OF PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, ADVOCACY AND NETWORKING FOR GEORGIA ARTS ORGANIZATIONS, FOR ADVANCEMENT OF PUBLIC POLICY AND FUNDING IN SUPPORT OF THE ARTS AND EDUCATION. THESE ASSETS WERE TRANSFERED ON DECEMBER 1, 2021. THE FOX THEATRE HAS ALSO AGREED TO SERVE AS THE PERMANENT REPOSITORY OF THE EXISTING PRINT AND DIGITAL RECORDS OF THE GEORGIA ARTS NETWORK, AND ITS PREDECESSOR ORGANIZATION, THE GEORGIA ASSOCIATION OF COMMUNITY ARTS AGENCIES.
