YOUTH ASSEMBLY- A MODEL LEGISLATURE FOR GRADES 9-12 HELD AT THE GEORGIA STATE CAPITOL IN WHICH STUDENTS OCCUPY THE SEATS OF THE SENATORS AND REPRESENTATIVES, INCLUDING A LOBBYIST PROGRAM, PRESS REPRESENTATIVES, JUDICAL PROGRAM AND COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN. YOUTH ASSEMBLY-A MODEL LEGISLATURE FOR GRADES 6-9 WHICH CONCENTRATES ON THE SENATE AND HOUSE PLUS A PRESS REPRESENTATIVE PROGRAM. THE ASSEMBLY IS SET UP IN A HOTEL TO RESEMBLE AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE THE GEORGIA HOUSE AND SENATE CHAMBERS.
WASHINGTON SEMINAR-A FIVE DAY EVENT IN OUR NATION'S CAPITAL IN WHICH THE EMPHASIS IS ON MEETING OUR SENATORS AND REPRESENTATIVES AND LEARNING MORE ABOUT OUR NATIONAL GOVERNMENT. CIVIC YOUR DAY-TAKE OVER OF LOCAL FOR A DAY BY STUDENTS WITHING THE LOCAL SCHOOL SYSTEM. THE ACTIVITIES ARE COORDINATED BY THE Y CLUB. THE ACTIVITIES THAT BUILD UP TO THE ACTUAL DAY ARE AS EVENTFUL AS THE CIVIC YOUTH DAY TS SELF. TOAST & TOPICS-A SATURDAY BREAKFAST SPONSORED BY THE LOCAL Y CLUBS FOR CITIZENS DURING THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY IN WHICH THEIR STATE LEGISLATURES MEET AND INFORM THEM OF WHAT IS HAPPENING THE THE GEORGIA GENERAL ASSEMBLY.
