Part 3 - Line 4a

BELTON CENTER FOR THE ARTS SERVES THE COMMUNITY THROUGH ART EDUCATION, EXHIBITIONS AND GALLERY SPACE. THE ART EDUCATION PROGRAM YOUNG AT ART PROVIDES VISUAL ARTS CLASSES AND CAMPS TO YOUTHS AND ADULTS IN MULTIPLE FORMATS FOR LOW COST OR FREE. THE CENTER PROVIDES EXHIBITION SPACE TO LOCAL ARTISTS, SERVING BOTH THE ARTIS BY SHOWCASING THEIR WORK, AND THE COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING QUALITY FINE ARTS EXHIBITIONS FOR FREE, PUBLIC DISPLAY. THE GIFT SHOP OPERATES YEAR ROUND AS A VENUE FOR LOCAL ARTISANS AND CRAFTSPEOPLE TO PLACE THEIR WORK FOR SALE, WHILE THE ARTS CENTER RETAINS A SMALL COMMISSION FOR OPERATIONAL SUPPORT. ADDITIONALLY THERE IS AN ANNUAL CRAFT MARKET WHICH EXPANDS THIS OPPORTUNITY TO A GREATER NUMBER OF ARTISANS.
