BY PROVIDING A WIDE RANGE OF OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL AGES AND CAREER STATUSES, TRILITH INSTITUTE SEEKS TO CULTIVATE AN ENVIRONMENT FOR WRITERS, DIRECTORS, PRODUCERS, PERFORMERS, AND ARTS EDUCATORS TO BECOME A DRIVING FORCE OF CULTURAL IMPACT IN GEORGIA.

THE SCRIPT-TO-SCREEN SUMMER CAMP OFFERED AN EXCEPTIONAL OPPORTUNITY FOR ASPIRING FILMMAKERS IN GRADES 6 THROUGH 12. THROUGH AN IMMERSIVE, HANDS-ON TWO-WEEK SUMMER CAMP EXPERIENCE, STUDENTS LEARNED THE ART OF SCREENWRITING AND FILM PRODUCTION UNDER THE GUIDANCE OF WORKING ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS. THROUGHOUT THE TEN-DAY PROGRAM, STUDENTS HEARD FROM SEVEN GUEST SPEAKERS, TOOK TWO STUDIO TOURS, AND CREATED TWO COMPLETE SHORT FILMS. THIS PROGRAM PROVIDED PARTICIPANTS WITH A SAFE AND SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT TO LEARN THE CREATIVE, COOPERATIVE, AND COLLABORATIVE SKILLS CRUCIAL TO FUTURE SUCCESS IN THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY.
WORKSHOPS - THE ORGANIZATION HIRED A TEAM TO BEGIN STRATEGIC ANALYSIS, DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT, AND IMPLEMENTATION OF PROFESSIONAL WORKSHOPS. THIS INCLUDED A BUSINESS PLAN, PARTNERSHIPS, AND BUDGETING FOR EXECUTION. WORKSHOPS WERE DEVELOPED TO SUPPORT AND CULTIVATE CREATIVE TALENT AT ALL AGES. K-12 LEARNERS HAD ACCESS TO WORKSHOPS COVERING TOPICS FROM WRITING IN A WEEKEND WRITERS' WORKSHOP TO PERFORMANCE IN A "YES, AND!" WORKSHOP TAUGHT BY PROFESSIONAL ACTORS, TO GEAR DEMONSTRATIONS, CAMERA AND GRIP, AND ELECTRIC EQUIPMENT DEMONSTRATIONS FROM LEADERS IN THE FILM INDUSTRY. ADULT LEARNERS AND ASPIRING FILMMAKERS PARTICIPATED IN WORKSHOPS TO SHARPEN THEIR DISTRIBUTION SKILLS IN THE PREPPING FOR FILM FESTIVAL WORKSHOP. THEY LEARNED THE CRAFT OF CHARACTER PERFORMANCE FROM ACTING LEGENDS AND NETWORKED WITH WORKING FILM AND TELEVISION DIRECTORS.PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION - THE ORGANIZATION HIRED A TEAM TO BEGIN STRATEGIC ANALYSIS, DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT, AND IMPLEMENTATION OF LONG-FORM, CREATIVE, INDUSTRY-FOCUSED PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION COURSES. THIS INCLUDED A BUSINESS PLAN, PARTNERSHIPS, AND BUDGETING FOR EXECUTION. FURTHER, THE ORGANIZATION PARTNERED WITH LEADING ORGANIZATIONS COMPRISING A BROAD SPECTRUM OF FILM INDUSTRY EXPERTS, FROM WRITERS, DIRECTORS, PRODUCERS, HEADS OF PRODUCTION, ANIMATORS, POST-PRODUCTION PRODUCERS, AND VISUAL EFFECTS SPECIALISTS. THREE COMPLETE SEMESTER-LENGTH COURSES WERE CREATED: FOUNDATIONS OF FILMMAKING, INTRODUCTION TO SCREENWRITING, AND INTRODUCTION TO VISUAL EFFECTS AND COMPUTER ANIMATION.WRG - THE ORGANIZATION HIRED A TEAM TO BEGIN STRATEGIC ANALYSIS, DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT, AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A WRITERS COLLECTIVE CALLED WRITERS ROOM OF GEORGIA. THIS INCLUDED A BUSINESS PLAN, PARTNERSHIPS, BUDGETING FOR EXECUTION, AND WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT. THE WRITERS ROOM OF GEORGIA WAS DESIGNED TO NOT ONLY BE A GATEWAY TO THE INDUSTRY BUT ALSO TO FOSTER A CULTURE OF COLLABORATION, CREATIVITY, AND PROFESSIONAL GROWTH IN SERVICE TO THE CRAFT AND CAREER ADVANCEMENT OF ASPIRING WRITERS IN GEORGIA.STUDENT EXPERIENCE - THE ORGANIZATION HIRED A TEAM TO BEGIN STRATEGIC ANALYSIS, DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT, AND IMPLEMENTATION OF PROGRAMS TO AUGMENT THE STUDENT EXPERIENCE. THIS INCLUDED A BUSINESS PLAN, PARTNERSHIPS, AND BUDGETING FOR EXECUTION. MFA STUDENTS WERE GIVEN EXCLUSIVE ACCESS TO NETWORK WITH WORKING TELEVISION DIRECTORS AND HEADS OF PRODUCTION, OFFERING A UNIQUE AND SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT WHERE THEY WERE ENCOURAGED TO LEARN AND COLLABORATE WITH FILM AND ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY STALWARTS. THE TRILITH INSTITUTE ALSO PROVIDED SUPPLEMENTAL EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR OVER 400 STUDENTS PARTICIPATING IN FIELD TRIPS AT TRILITH. BY OFFERING SUBJECT MATTER TALKS AND DEMONSTRATIONS SUPPORTED AND LED BY INDUSTRY EXPERTS, K-12 STUDENTS WERE ABLE TO GAIN INSIGHT INTO POTENTIAL CAREERS IN THE FILM AND TELEVISION INDUSTRY.EDUCATION & WORKFORCE COLLABORATIVE - THE ORGANIZATION CREATED AN EDUCATION AND WORKFORCE ARM AT TRILITH FOR ANY EDUCATIONAL ENTITY THAT DESIRES TO CONNECT. THROUGH THIS EDUCATION AND WORKFORCE COLLABORATIVE, THE ORGANIZATION OFFERS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL EDUCATIONAL STAKEHOLDERS, FROM K-MFA, TO PARTICIPATE IN A COMMUNITY, PURPOSE-DRIVEN EDUCATIONAL PLATFORM. THE ORGANIZATION OFFERS RESOURCES, FACILITIES, PROGRAMMING, GUEST SPEAKERS, TOURS, AND MORE TO SUPPLEMENT CURRENT EDUCATION STAKEHOLDERS.
