WACHH'S MISSION IS TO EDUCATE, ENGAGE, AND INSPIRE OUR COMMUNITY REGARDING WORLD AFFAIRS. THE MAJOR ACTIVITY IS TO FULFILL ITS MISSION TO BRING RENOWNED SPEAKERS TO ITS MEMBERS AND THEIR GUESTS FOR TOPICAL PRESENTATIONS FOLLOWED BY QUESTION AND ANSWER SESSIONS.

SPEAKER SERIES PRESENTATIONS; WACHH PRESENTED 14 SPEAKERS FROM OCTOBER THROUGH MAY TO ITS 740 MEMBERS VIA LIVE PRESENTATIONS, VIDEO STREAMING, AND ARCHIVED VIDEOS.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH: WACHH CONDUCTS ACADEMIC WORLDQUEST COMPETITION FOR LOCAL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS, WITH THE WINNING TEAM ATTENDING THE NATIONAL COMPETITION IN WASHINGTON DC, WITH EXPENSES PAID BY WACHH. WACHH ALSO SUPPORTS HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ATTENDING THE STATE MODEL UN CONFERENCES BY GRANTING LOCAL HIGH SCHOOLS A STIPEND FOR EACH STUDENT ATTENDING THE CONFERENCE.


WACHH HOSTS DISCUSSION SESSIONS THROUGH A BOOK CLUB TO DISCUSS BOOKS AUTHORED BY SPEAKERS OR OTHERS ON TOPICS INVOLVING FOREIGN AFFAIRS. WACHH FACILITIES DISCUSSIONS INVOLVING WORLD AFFAIRS COUNCIL OF AMERICA'S ANNUAL GREAT DECISION MANUAL. DISCUSSIONS ARE LED BY VOLUNTEERS AND ATTENDEES PAY FOR THEIR BOOKS.
