EDUCATION GRANTS - EDUCATORS NEED COMMUNITY SUPPORT TO MAXIMIZE THEIR CLASSROOM IMPACT. EACH YEAR THE RHSEF PROVIDES $100,000 IN GRANT FUNDING TO EDUCATORS IN ROCK HILL TO CREATE ENGAGING, IMPACTFUL EXPERIENCES FOR LOCAL STUDENTS. OVER $1,000,000 HAVE BEEN AWARDED.
BACK THE PACK - A DATA-DRIVEN, WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM THAT PREPARES STUDENTS FOR EMPLOYMENT IN DISTRIBUTION AND LOGISTICS WHILE PROVIDING WEEKEND MEALS FOR OVER 750 LOCAL STUDENTS WHO EXPERIENCE FOOD INSECURITY.
OTHER SPECIAL PROGRAMS INCLUDE STUDENT CELEBRATION THAT HONOR STUDENTS WHO HAVE OVERCOME ADVERSITY; BACK TO SCHOOL RALLY TO CELEBRATE ALL EMPLOYEES OF ROCK HILL WITH PRIZES, GIVEAWAYS, FOOD TRUCKS, AND COMMUNITY ENCOURAGEMENT; AND EDUCATOR FOR A DAY PROGRAM TO BUILD EMPATHY THROUGH PROXIMITY BY OFFERING COMMUNITY PARTNERS THE OPPORTUNITY TO SHADOW EDUCATORS FOR AN AUTHENTIC EXPERIENCE OF PUBLIC EDUCATION IN ROCK HILL SCHOOLS.
