SCHA PROVIDES SUPPORT SERVICES INCLUDING REPRESENTATION, ADVOCACY, EDUCATION, CONSULTATION, AND COMMUNICATIONS. SCHA SERVES APPROXIMATELY 65,000 FULL-TIME EMPLOYEES AND 83 INSTITUTIONAL MEMBER HOSPITALS. DURING 2021, SCHA PRESENTED EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS COVERING THE FOLLOWING TOPICS: RECRUITMENT & RETENTION, REQUIREMENTS OF GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS, PATIENT SAFETY, CULTURAL DIVERSITY, THIRD PARTY REIMBURSEMENT, REENGINEERING, DSH, AND CERTIFICATES OF NEED. SCHA PROMOTES THE WELFARE OF THE PEOPLE OF SOUTH CAROLINA BY PROVIDING FOR THE DEVELOPMENT, IMPROVEMENT, AND PERPETUATION OF HOSPITALS AND PROMOTING HIGHER STANDARDS OF PATIENT CARE.
